For most parts, Lutify.me should work best with properly exposed photos and footage. This means no overexposed highlights and no underexposed shadows. Your image should be balanced.
However, this doesn’t mean you should protect your highlights or shadows at all costs. If your subject is in shadow behind a large bright object, it would be smarter to expose properly for your subject rather than keeping the highlights from overexposing.
Having said that, please bear in mind, that some LUTs work better with slightly over or under exposed photos and footage. Please consult the description of the LUT on our website for more information.
