  4. I want my LUTs to appear in the list of available LUTs in Lumetri Panel. How can I do it?

In order to make your 3D LUTs appear in the drop-down list of available LUTs in Lumetri Panel inside Premiere Pro, you have to copy your LUTs into a specific location on your hard drive. However, before you copy your LUTs into this specific location, please consider this:

  1. Adobe Premiere Pro poses a limit on the number of 3D LUTs that can appear in the drop-down list. If you have a lot of 3D LUTs, not all of them will appear in the list.
  2. More importantly, since we’ll have to copy the files into the Adobe Premiere Pro’s installation location, these 3D LUTs may be overwritten once you update your version of Adobe Premiere Pro to a newer one. If you don’t have a backup of your 3D LUTs, these LUTs may get lost forever on update.

Adding LUTs to Basic section of Lumetri Panel

To add Lutify.me LUTs to the basic section of Lumetri in Adobe Premiere Pro, please copy the LUTs to the following location:

Windows
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015\Lumetri\LUTs\Technical

Mac
Applications > Premiere Pro CC 2015 > Show Package Contents (note Show Package Contents is a right/ctrl click option on the application itself) > Lumetri  > LUTs > Technical

Ideally you would want to copy the Log conversion LUTs to the basic section of the Lumetri panel in Premiere Pro.

Adding LUTs to Creative section of Lumetri Panel

Process for adding custom LUTs to the creative section of Adobe Premiere Pro differs between different versions of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 (June 2016 Update) or higher

To add Lutify.me LUTs to the creative section of Lumetri in Adobe Premiere Pro, please copy the LUTs to the following location:

Windows
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015\Lumetri\LUTs\Creative

Mac
Applications > Premiere Pro CC 2015 > Show Package Contents (note Show Package Contents is a right/ctrl click option on the application itself) > Lumetri > LUTs > Creative

Ideally you would want to copy the creative color grading LUTs to the creative section of the Lumetri panel in Premiere Pro.

Premiere Pro CC 2015.2 or earlier

Versions 2015.2 and earlier of Premiere Pro do not support the use of LUTs in the creative section of Lumetri panel, but rather the use of .Look files. Therefore, you’ll have to convert your LUTs first into .Look format using Adobe SpeedGrade.

To add Lutify.me LUTs to the creative section of Lumetri in Adobe Premiere Pro version 2015.2 and earlier first convert the LUTs to .Look format using Adobe SpeedGrade and than copy the .Look files to the following location:

Windows
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015\Lumetri\Looks\Cine Looks

Mac
Applications > Premiere Pro CC 2015 > Show Package Contents (note Show Package Contents is a right/ctrl click option on the application itself) > Lumetri > Looks > Cine Looks

Ideally you would want to copy the creative color grading LUTs to the creative section of the Lumetri panel in Premiere Pro.
